I second this. Don't travel as much as Matt, but I bring my 17" with me everywhere (work/home every day, trips, whatever), and haven't been longing for a smaller or lighter machine yet. I've found it actually more portable (lighter and thinner) than the Dell Inpsiron I had previously, not to mention significantly easier to work on when I get wherever I'm going, because of the big ol' screen.
