I am here, finally awake.

And those features are called Templates in Eclipse and the Java and Ant editors have them.

I have been thinking about them, but in DAILY use, I find them so-so. I am currently investigating these.

With regards to the CF bundle for TextMate, I use it but not overly impressed with it... but that is my opinion.

Why dont people look into the org.eclipse.jdt package (the source should be somewhere in your plugins folder) , just go New -> Import - > Plugins and features and import all the org.eclipse.jdt and have a look how its implemented (ha! easier that it sounds) and let me know.

I like snippets as they have more power in the sense that I can have various options. With templates you cant have drop downs.

Just so you know.

I followed a link in the blog on e-texteditor.com and wound up here watching this demo movie:

Very cool stuff. I love it. I'm with Jean. I want cfeclipse to work like that! Where's Mark Drew? ;-)

I also went here

http://macromates.com/svn/Bundles/trunk/Bundles/

and saw ColdFusion.tmbundle/

and i'm wondering if that works also in e-texteditor.com on Windows? Or should i go out and buy a Mac tomorrow? ;-)

It's the Snippets video/demo on the first link in Jean's prior post.
This video shows how the Tab key cycles through the attributes in a tag
snippet.

Sorry. I was responding to Jean's comment, " I meant the feature that
allows you to type e.g. cfquery, hit the TAB key and have the rest of
the code completed. Similar to snippets, but much easier to use." I
understand how different snippets are. I just couldn't tell if that
reference meant s/he did.

Also, what's the "demo" you refer to? Some may enjoy seeing that. Is it
something for CFEclipse? or other?
