So it seems that these are like snippets (in CFE, DW, HS, etc.), where the cursor can be placed at a point within the snippet, but with the added benefit of the tabbing through selectable values as well. Since it seems you need to create the tabbable snippets manually, I'd argue that the tag/function insight at least has that as an advantage.
