Greetings to everyone, here are my thought about Chandler, trying it as one
goes along.

"Well, this Chandler piece of software looks interesting ... As I'm quite a
busy thing these days, I do appreciate the now/later/done of many notes (small
things to do) concept. And it's in python ! Let's try it !

o Downloaded Chandler 1.0.3 for Windows and installed it ok.
o Launched it and crawled around the sample notes, looks cool.
x Attempted to get a clean database but there is no way to get one : starting
with ctrl + selecting the option "delete every data and start with an empty
database (Supprimer toutes mes données et démarrer avec une base de données
vierge)" restore the sample database, not an empty one !
o Manually deleted every entry (groumpf!) and finally got a clean dashboard
x Had a look at the database files ... waaooo ! 113 MB ! How is it possible ?
How an empty database could weight 113 MB ?!?
o Well, now let's try the hub ... created an account with user name : ZeMogwaï
(non English char inside) successful ! Great ! I like people that are not
ego-centric and think of other users of other countries with other languages.
o Logged in to the hub through Firefox and saw that the database is *really*
empty ... cool !
o Created a note to try the sync mechanism
o Back to the Windows UI, setup proxy and account, ok
x Attempted to test the connection or sync the notes and got a crash (python
traceback) ... snif.
o Well ... it's late, I'll see tomorrow how to report a bug.
x The next day (this morning) I woke up my computer from hibernation and got
another chandler crash ... Oo
o Looked into the bugzilla database to see if any existing ticket matched my
problem ... nope.
o Registered to bugzila (this time with no non English character, just in case)
o Received my activation email and successfully activated my account
x Attempted to log in and did not succeed: "The username or password you
entered is not valid, insert a coin (or press back) and try again !" :-/

Well ... how could I report all my difficult experiences to the OSA Foudation
in order to help them to make a better free software ? Let's try the mailing
list."

And here I am. And here are my requests:
- If anyone knows about the problems I had, please tell me the one I have to
report to the OSAF bugzilla system, and the one that are already in the works,
avoiding ticket duplication. But I'm quite sure none of them are already
reported. I made some quick search, but I prefer getting a second advice.
- Last minute : Oops, the bugzilla login is my address email ! So forget about
the last problem of the enumeration. -<:-)

Thank you.

Ze Mogwaï is floating in ze Cyberspace ...
