That's not strictly necessary, but there's a catch. In the Server Settings tab of iCal 4, you can add a trailing slash — http://n2.nabble.com/file/n4573651/Screen_shot_2010-02-15_at_09.25.16.png — then quit iCal. When you next run iCal: exclamation marks may disappear, and iCal may appear to work normally, but beware: * iCal may be wildly out of sync with items that were present on the server before your change of settings * iCal may silently fail to sync subsequent editions. (It's likely that the related interop bug is already in Bugzilla for OSAF.) In the circumstances, I should recommend: 1. do not be tempted by the trailing slash workaround 2. if your iCal 3.x (Mac OS X 10.5.x) was not synced with the server before you upgraded to iCal 4.x (Mac OS X 10.6.x), then use iCal 4 to export each affected calendar to an .ics before you remove the account 3. as Mike suggests, remove the account from iCal 4 4. if you exported at step 2, then use Chandler Desktop to import those .ics files (I guess that in this environment, Chandler Desktop will avoid duplication more gracefully than iCal).
