I think this message makes clearer than I could that at present J is a poor platform for GUI programming.

But claiming, instead, that they do not exist, only contributes to the problem. For myself, I might motivate myself to have the interest to resurrect or recreate a "use mouse to draw lines on an isigraph" example or demo or lab, but right now I can't be bothered any more than you can. After all, I have work I should be doing... That said, I'll give you a couple pointers. Some documentation from an older (but still relatively recent) version of J: http://www.jsoftware.com/docs/help701/user/win_driver_cmd_ref_overview.htm Also, in jqt, go to the Help menu and try some of the options under Studio. Some of the studio stuff is in sad shape and is suffering from near abandonment - it used to be orders of magnitude better. But what flourished once can probably be recreated. If people care enough to even try... (One problem I noted, for example, was that the polygon verb was not defined in the fractals lab. If I remember right, that was a pretty simple thing - maybe something like 3 : '^(i.1+y)*0j2p1%y' ) Thanks, ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
