I just acquired a 71 chevelle with no motor or tranny. It now has a 12 bolt rear end under it, but i palm on building a wicked street machine with about 500Hp. If i swap the 12 bolt for a ford 9", is there a specific make and model of car/truck which i'll need to get this 9" from? The next question is....which 9' is better, the 28 or 31 splines? Any help on this rear end swap is greatly appreciated.
