Thanks to everyone who gave advice. I still don't know what I'll do. But I'll get that body off.

Rich,
My garage is drywalled and has a low ceiling as well. However, my hot rod buddy built his own wooden device that still fits and can let me get the frame up with a chain hoist. I can send you pics if he don't mind.

You sure you can't get any help? These Chevelle guys are the best guys in the world and I have had more help than I expected. The work is more fun, goes easier with two brains solving problems, and it goes faster as well. I also like to have good oldies playing on the garage radio to keep me motivated :) Works well!

Where do you live at? Do you have an ice chest you can put beer in? Some of these guys work for beer :)

I am going to set mine back down on the frame after I am sure all is clear and tow it to where I need to go on my new tow dolly. Just bought a used one, two years old, heavy duty, new tires ..for $500.

Acid dipped and e-coated huh? Nice ....but not cheap! My budget limits me to sand blasting and primer. Trying to talk the wife into letting me use chemical stripper at home to save money....but got a veto. :(

I have decided to pull the body off my '66 and have it acid dipped and e-coated. I had my dash done and it's absolutely beautiful. My problem is I have no one to help me pull it off. My ceiling is low and is dry walled. So no chain fall or "A" frame. Has anyone done this without help? How did you do it? Any special problems I should be aware of? Once it's off I'll mount it to a dolly and have the frame blasted. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Rich
