I researched Dry Ice myself. It sounded great! I could even get bags of
it at my local welding shop believe it or not. I just wasn't sure how
much I needed and you have to order it. When I called a major supplier
of the equipment for rental he said that certain types of paint it won't
work on too well.

You can buy bags of the dry ice or rent a machine that makes little
pieces of a block. You have to rent the machine as it's too expensive to
buy for a one car job.

I don't remember now about the spray wand, but I think Eastwood has it
available or that web site that someone gave out.

Dry ice sounds great. However can it be used with a regular sand
blaster? If so is dry ice media available to most around the Country?

Thanks,
JD

That's the nice thing about dry ice. It melts and leaves no residue.
It
also
uses thermal shock to cause dissimilar particles to contract at
different rates and therefore separate from each other. For that
reason, it does
zero
damage to the metal. The other blast media all use abrasion.

People were doing that next door in the open in July,
looked like it was snowing in TX, our whole yard was white. They said
it worked real good.
