Shebang! John Nasta nailed it! It is gear lube. So I topped it off with
my favorite Valvoline 90 wt and took it for a ride. Now I notice the outer
axle bearings making funny noises too. Gonna do bearings and seals.
Great advice from this list! Even on getting brake cylinders.
