I would think you can get a new front disc brake kit for way less than $1K.
Heck,I can get you a Baer Track kit w/13" ZR-1 rotors & calipers for $1K.
Having said that,I've always been leery of using scrapyard parts in the
braking system. People will think nothing of spending big bucks for some
cool wheels and tires,yet scrimp on safety items.
