I built a 59 with L72 427" and M21. Sweet running solid axle but hard to keep it cool. They didn't have the radiator choices then as they do,now.(1975)

Actually I have a friend in Maryland who is working on a 58 Corvette and putting in a 427. I would imagine that would be a sweet ride.

Also, you can't compare the market of old corvettes to old chevelles. Corvette owners are all into matching numbers and the market reflects it. If you take a 1957 Corvette with matching numbers, re: 283 and 4 speed, it is worth $50,000. If you remove the 283 and put in a 396 you just cut the value of the car in half. Go figure.
