Why does it matter? Please extrapolate. If the bolt is the right diameter, and the nut and bolt are both the same, what's the difference whether it is a coarse or fine thread?   I checked the ones I sell w/ a tap & die set a while back, and they are 7/16-14. Some SS's and mag wheels did take a different shape, but the thread is the same. I just bought 20 new ones and intalled them on the old axels last weekend.   Dave
