My car had a Lakewood Scattershield and a Saginaw when I bought it. I went to a Richmond 5-speed tranny and a fairly built up Big Block everything bolted up the same. Since then I have had 2 clutches come apart on me at high rpm and the scattershield held up flawlessly. Thats what I would recommend for a manual car.   Eric Hilpp 67 Malibu
