You know that they are
just gouging when a tragedy happens one day and gas prices go up the very next
day. The gas they are selling today didn’t cost them a penny more than the gas
that they sold two days ago. I spoke with a friend last night who said that
stations in NYC are up to $3.40 already. That is amazing because I was driving
earlier yesterday and it was still *only* about $2.75. These fuel companies
have big reserves and the impact of a tragedy like this doesn’t hit them
overnight. That doesn’t stop them from raising prices overnight though. It
would be nice if instead of releasing oil from the Federal emergency reserve
our President would put a clamp on this price gouging that's going on. |
