I'll second that.  Been with them 25+ years and had a claim that cost them over $10 grand and they didn't waste any time getting an adjuster into my garage and make a deal to fix everything properly.  They even wanted to pay for stuff I didn't want done just to make sure the car came out correct in the end.  They have excellent rates and few restrictions and are used to insuring single cars or bikes or have customers with hundreds of vehicles.  ER

Thanks but I got it adjusted. I had to take out the whole pedal
assembly and it seems to be a piece of junk. does anybody make a decent
pedal set for this year?

I'll look and see but The last time I tried I couldn't get to the end
of the pin. The only way I could get to the clip was with a long skinny
screwdriver.

I had a Willwood master cylinder installed on my 66 chevelle
w/non power front disc/rear drum. The brakes lock up after about a
mile of driving. I checked the brake pedal rod and it has been
adjusted all the way out which I'm pretty sure is what is causing my
problem. I tried to adjust the rod under the dash but I can't get to
it. Can I take the master cylinder loose and adjust it from under the

it. Then there should be enough room remove to replace it with the tank in the

  As has already been said, the filler neck is welded to the
tank. Removing the tank with the neck attached is you only option. Can you drop
the exhaust low enough to remove the tank or drop the tank low enough to get to
the sending unit?








 




Hey guys, I need to eplace the sending unit in my 70 SS and
was wondering how the filler neck comes off the tank so I can remove the tank.
There is no rubber connecting piece or any type of clamp holding it on. I put
3" exhaust on the car so removing the tank with the filler neck on it as a
unit really isnt an option.  Thanks for helping me out ( AGAIN

I did a Google search to find out about Valero and am pleasantly surprised to find it is entirely an American Corporation based in San Antonio, Texas and all their gas is from America; no mid east imports. I strongly feel we would all be better off purchasing our gasoline from them or Arco rather than to support the Saudis, etc.

Are you aware that the Saudis are boycotting American products?

Shouldn't we return the favor?  Can't we take control of our own destiny and let these giant oil importers know who REALLY generates their profits, their livings?  How about leaving American Dollars in America and reduce the import/export deficit?

Just purchase gas from companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell..................................      205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco...................      ;  144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil.......................       130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway............       117,740,000 barrels
Amoco................................       62,231,000 barrels

And CITGO oil is imported from Venezuela by Dictator Hugo Chavez who hates America and openly avows our economic destruction!  (We pay Chavez's regime nearly $10 Billion per year in oil revenues!)

Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:

Sunoco.......................     0 barrels
Conoco.....................      0 barrels
Sinclair.....................       0 barrels
BP / Phillips...............     0 barrels
Hess. ...........................  0 barrels
ARC0..............................0 barrels (Many auto mechanics don't approve)
Maverick.......................  0 barrels
Flying J. ......................   0 barrels
VALERO........................0 barrels

Murphy Oil USA  sold at Wal-Mart is from South Arkansas and owned USA!    Not only that they give scholarships to all children in their town who finish high school and are legal US citizens.

All of this information is available from the U.S. Department of Energy and each company is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.

But to have a real impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers.  With the help of the internet, it's really simple to do.
