Yeah, a cage, crate, and kennel are all pretty much the same thing. 
You can put them in the kennel while you are gone and at night. 
That's what I do with our bulldog pup. I'm a stay at home mom so I'm 
home most of the day so she doesn't have to be in it too much during 
the day. If you are gone for a full work day, I would suggest 
getting an exercise pen (can get them at petsmart, petco, etc.) for 
them since it is bigger. Or you could use a baby play pen. This 
would just give them more room to move around.  ~Lacey
