Hi Group! As you all know we have 3 Chi's and up until this time I have taken care of the toe nail maintenance for all our babies. Pooh is great, She lays down rolls over on her back Snip Snip and they are done no muss no fuss no bother. Rufus the youngest is about the same except I have to catch him when he is slightly sleepy.
Now to the problem child :-(  Snuggles was very god the first time. I laid her on the bed she rolled over snip snip no problem. No yips no bleeding by her nor I.
For some reason this last time there is no way no how she is letting me cut them. I tried standing her on a high counter, on the bed ,on the floor, holding her, Deb holding her while I tried, Me Holding her while Deb tried all of which ended in blood being shed by Deb and I from Scratches. It is amazing how strong these little dogs can be when they don't want to do something :-D Snuggles is a Deer Head with very long slender body and legs and she is like trying to hold a water filled balloon without breaking it.
I don't understand what changed between the first time and now but she is not having it.
I do the other 2 dogs often so I don't have to trim much and there is less chance of cutting the quick.
Any Suggestions ?

PS Pooh is doing great after her operation. She is back to her sweet normal self with no apparent emotional trauma. She's eating good and bowel movements are back to normal with a little help from some mineral oil.
