Hi Connie   Sophie's breeder's females are 5, 6 and 7 pounds.  I don't even think her male dogs are super small but when she puts the dogs together she knows which dogs, together, will have smaller puppies.  I don't know a lot about breeding, but I agree with Marsha, that if the female is very small it should be left to a very experienced breeder.   Marsha   I hope this isn't a stupid question. (there are no stupid questions) I had heard about a male dog throwing small puppies.  Does a female dog put much into what the size of a puppy will be?   Katie " Lets talk about our wonderful little friends!
