Yep, Yep, Yep me too but the average pet owner does not even know what the heck you are talking about.  I always recommend vets, but sometimes I just get overwhelmed with the situation at hand and type faster then I am thinking.  You are correct to say VET CALL THE DAMN VET... I have dealt with so many people, and puppies I just jump into stabilizing mode.  Sorry to get so irrate.  I just worry so when these little guys are sick.  I have so many people call me for help all hours of the night and most have purchased their puppy from a breeder who will not help them.  Well, I am glad to help out any Chihuahua whether it came from my breedings or not.

I bred and showed dogs for over 20 years and for the past 10 years I have been breeding and showing Siamese cats. I too always keep jars of baby food on hand. I also keep a bag of lactated ringers on hand in case I have to inject fluids.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER did anyone mention shoving lunch meat down his throat!! I said to put baby food in his mouth!! I guess I need to remember I am talking to novice here.  I am on breeder groups and we suggest things all the time BUT it is to get the pup stable BEFORE rushing to the vet. I am not sure how far she lives from the vet, or what the situation, my main intent is to stable the pup IF you have lunch meat see if he will eat it.  I always keep baby jar food on hand I know others don't.  BUT I never said to shove lunch meat down his throat.  That is insane! see if you can get him to eat something besides dog food since HE WON'T.  Some people, such as myself live a distance from the vet.  By the time you got in your car and made it to the vet with a pup in a sugar attack, do you think the dog would make it? NO, you must do what ever you can to get the pup stable THEN rush off to the vet.  I do not have a vet right next door, I must travel a distance.  IF you do that is awesome. do not worry about stablizing the pup and yes, I gues I should of said CALL the vet, GO to the vet.  I was more focused on getting food into that pup.

I didn't read at the beginning of every post in this string.....
get that pup back to the Vet right away.   Anything less is not good
advice.   And what's this bit about sticking lunch meat down it's
throat????    That's good advice.    Come on and quit setting on your
brains and start using them.   Anyone with 2 cents worth of common
sence, knows damn well that this pups in a life and death situation
now and setting around on our duffs discussing the pros and cons is
only shortening it's life.    I stand on what I said and I'm old
enough to have experienced all the bad advice that can be dished out
I'm only praying hard that she had the sence to go quickly to the Vet.
And that is my last word on this subject.

should of never let that dog leave with runs still.  Not until the
stool has hardened.  with 60 years of breeding maybe more then a panic
email would help.  I am sure that is where she is right now. I am sure
she probably called her vet ASAP.  But for immediate care, we all
offered sound advise.
