Not saying that is why these pups are pet quality just asking in general It is not necessarily a genetic flaw. A puppy could have a longer nose than judges like. Short noses are very trendy. Otherwise, the ears might not be at the exact angle preferred by the judges. The bite may not align perfectly as required for a show dog. All show quality dogs will have puppies that are not show quality. In fact, most puppies will not be show quality. Lisa
