This sounds reasonable to me. Sometimes when you kennel them they end up
getting kennel cough and thought costs even more. Not to mention the stess
you're putting on them.

-0500Subject: [Chihuahuas] Pet Sitting Question

I thought of letting my DD, who will be 14 next week, start a little pet
sitting service in the neighborhood. I was looking on line at rates, but we
are talking about a kid here maybe to just let the dog out, clean the
litterbox, feedings, stuff like that. Does $6/visit sound reasonable? I
wondered about charging extra if they want the dog taken for a walk, etc.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. My DD thought that sounded like a lot of
money until I told her what a kennel charges and that most people would rather
pay extra to be able to leave their dog at home. My neighbor comes over 4x/day
to take care of our dogs when we go off (and we take care of his as well), but
I would gladly pay someone $24/day to do that and consider it a bargain.
