Just curious, with these larger females/smaller males, don't breeders get a
lot of oversized Chis?

>From what I have been reading yes they do.  Unless you have had the dogs for
generations you would have no way of knowing what their heritage is. You
could take a 6 pound female and breed it to a 4 pound male and still have
chi's way over the 6 pounds. To me that is not improving the breed, but that
is just me. Things tend to skip generations in dogs just like they do
humans. One reason why I won't breed. When I look in all the shelters it
breaks my heart at all the unwanted dogs out there. Including Chi's
