Hi everyone,
I have a chihuahua Tianna. She is my baby, I have hand raised her after
her mother (my best friend) past away one day after giving birth to her
and her siblings. she is the only one that survived.
I love her so much but for some reason I am having a problem with her
getting growley and nippey with me. she is 2 years old and was well
trained. Now for some reason she will not listen to me. and sometimes
if I go to pick her up or even pet her she will either growl at me or go
to bite me.
I really don't know why she is starting to do this. I'm thinking it is
a domanice issue and would like to know the best way to handle this.
I'm ready to cry because I feel like my baby doesnt love me any more. I
know sounds silly but she really is hurting my feelings. Which is
making it hard to retrain her. I'm at a lost. Can anyone her help me?
I don't live with my husband right now (long story) and when he visits
is when she does this. she does listen to me better when he isn't
around but now even when he isn't around she is acting afraid of me and
I have never done anything to her but give her hugs and kisses.
Also since she has been a year old she won't let anyone in the family
cut her nails. We have never hurt her while cutting her nails and I was
cutting her nails every week since she was 2 weeks old but once we went
from the baby nail clippers to the dog clippers (at the age of a year
old) she won't let us cut her nails. I could use some advice on this
too.
I will put a pic of her in the files when I get the time. I love her so
much but am getting tired of getting growled at or having her bite me
for both of these reasons and really not sure what to do.
