I don't think it is a dominance issue. When was the last time she was checked by the vet? Sometimes animals do these things if something is off physically. Could be thyroid etc.. Also animals feel the stress that we owners go through

I know sounds silly but she really is hurting my feelings. Which is making it hard to retrain her. I'm at a lost. Can anyone her help me? I don't live with my husband right now (long story) and when he visits is when she does this. she does listen to me better when he isn't around but now even when he isn't around she is acting afraid of me and I have never done anything to her but give her hugs and kisses. Also since she has been a year old she won't let anyone in the family cut her nails. We have never hurt her while cutting her nails and I was cutting her nails every week since she was 2 weeks old but once we went from the baby nail clippers to the dog clippers (at the age of a year old) she won't let us cut her nails. I could use some advice on this too. I will put a pic of her in the files when I get the time. I love her so much but am getting tired of getting growled at or having her bite me for both of these reasons and really not sure what to do. Thank you for letting me into this group.
