The weight at birth and at 6-8 weeks only gives something to use for the guesstimate of their weight at maturity. Emiliano weighed a half of a pound at 8 weeks and now at 19 mos. he weighs 5 lbs 13 oz and he is not fat. Yet, I have a friend who's Chi weighed 2 lbs at 8 weeks and at a 13 mos only weighs 4 lbs and she's very healthy. So, you never can tell.
