Shanna we are a rescue. We have a large network of caring people that spent the day doing just that. I personally contacted three county shelter. Most of us work together to get the word out when we find a stray. We also posted her on facebook and requested people repost it. It isn't that I want to keep her, I just want to keep her safe. She was attacked by something and needed vet care. Also she is no spring chicken she is missing half her teeth. She has had repeated or chronic ear infections in her left ear that has cause a droop in the structure. The vet says this has been going on for some time. The vet tech trimmed her nails that were curling under. So it could be any reason she was on her own. But she hasn't been care for in a while. Yes she is well behaved and probably was loved. But way to many times we find families that put an elderly parent in a home and toss their pets out.
For Holly Noel I hope your right. We will keep looking. But she still need care she will get spayed and a dental. In a few weeks and we will return her to the owner either way if they are found. We just want all the babies to have a home. The owners are most likely looking for her. Try checking the Craigslist in your area or area she came from to see if anyone has posted a lost ad on there.
