Keeper just has a kitty cube and I put a fleece blanket in it. I figure he has
a built in fur coat so as long as I am fairly comfortable he just needs a
little blanket and he will be fine. If he is cool he will burrow under his
blankie and if he is warm he will lay on top. I don't ever put him in clothes
if I can't watch him because he will also be half dressed and I wouldn't want
him stuck in an uncomfortable position. I think if he has a bed and sleeping
bag he will probably be fine if you keep your house at a comfortable temp
(above 60 degrees). Keeper loves his kitty cube and he is always warm when I
feel him he doesn't shiver or seem cold at all.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Does You Chi Wear A Sweater At Bedtime?

Hi everyone

I was wondering how many of you keep a sweater on your chi's at night time. I
was putting pajamas on Ricky at night, but by morning they were half off of
him. I have tried sweaters, and the same thing happens. I find the neck / front
legs down around his tummy! I was worried that it might be possible for him to
somehow get it stuck around his neck and choke in the night and I would not
know it.... sooooooooooo, now he goes to bed without any clothes on. He has a
very nice plush bed, his doggie sleeping bag, fleece blankets, then his bed is
set inside a carboard box that the front is open. In the morning, he gets a
sweater or something put on for warmth. He does not sleep in my bed, he sleeps
in his own bed. :)
