I just want to add, I use the puppy pad frame also. It works wonderfully
for Dolly. When Desi goes potty and lifts his leg, some of it must splash a
little because everytime that he uses it I have to clean the frame.I use
Clorox Wipes to clean it. So, I put the pad in the frame on the side that
Dolly likes to use and the pad directly on the floor for Desi and he does
well with it. His area is actually in the master bathroom, so when I go out
he is in there by himself.NEVER did he tear up a puppy pad (I am lucky and
thankful for this!). But, he does locate squeakers in his toys and gnaws
and gnaws until he breaks through the toy and pulls out all the
stuffing.sometimes all over the bedroom, sometimes all of the living
room.just never know!

I have been buying bigger toys that have little appendages for Dolly & Desi
to play with. They will play tug of war with their toys. The bigger toys
are made for bigger chewers and so far Desi has not destroyed one of the big
ones.

I have potty pad trained my puppies. I like the potty pad holder. I got it
at amazon.com and it is a plastic base that you put the pad on and then it
has a top ring that clips on to hold the pad down. It helps them make sure
they are on the pad and it prevents them from tearing them up and playing
with them. It doesn't take too long for them to realize where to go if you
keep them in a smaller area and then for the first little while if they have
accidents just clean them up quickly and use the pad to soak up a little bit
of the pee and they will have it down before you know it.
