Florida does sound nice doesn't it? When I pulled into the parking lot at work this morning the snow drifts were as high as my car and the external temperature said -2 degrees. I had to climb a mountain of snow to get to the front door of my office this morning. I'm the only one brave enough to come into the office today so it's nice and quiet. I almost stayed in bed this morning. I did not want to dig myself out.

We had 6 inches of fresh snow by Monday. Then Monday night a winter ice storm moved in and we got no less then an inch of solid ice. On top of that it started snowing an ice mixture on Tuesday night and stopped last night. Now the weather man says we have two more snow events moving into the area. It is almost noon and 17 degrees outside. The school I teach at has been closed since Monday and the furbabies need more food! I am beginning to hate this weather! I've never been so happy to be out of the house. The chi's loved having me home with them all day though. I hear we're supposed to get 5 inches this weekend on top of what we've already got. I think I need to move to a warmer climate. I know the chi's would be happy if I did that. We're suppose to have a hard freeze tonight, the only good thing is that it is dry. However, the wind is strong and so chilling it cuts right down to the bone. I am sitting in my den with my fireplace going and Emiliano asleep in his tent, bundled in his snuggle bag. I hope those of you in the path of this major winter storm, stay warm and don't lose power to your homes.
