I'm in California. At the moment, I'm up in the mountains. I've told people that while my little chi girl and I are in our adjustment period, she may have to travel with me - she's just spent a month in a shelter. In fact, I'm picking her up today! They ask - can't she stay outside?
...No. She can stay in her carrier. But dogs her size left outside and unsupervised aren't so much pets as they are food. Coyotes, hawks, bobcats and mountain lions. Oh yes - and snakes. This is something I'm especially aware of as I've owned a number of rodents in the past - you get very used too being careful with animals whose size places them at the bottom of the food chain. --- In [email protected], Peggy & The Girls <phrpg5@...> wrote: > > Even if a small Hawk can't carry a small dog under 10 pounds, it's talons > can do serious harm to a small animal.
