I, too, think that what you buy and spend is really your business. I honestly don't think that Meg asked the question to the group thinking that she was to get the negative replies that I have read. I do not know the financial situation of everyone on this group. And, if you tell Meg that she spends too much money on her dogs, you may be just as guilty of spending money for other things, such as the biggest 3-D television instead of the 32" model which would be just fine to watch, or you may buy the thousand dollar camera to take pics of your chi, instead of the $100 model.
I buy mine beds and blankets and clothes. They have a booster seat in the car and I have a dog stroller for them. I have tile floors everywhere in the house except for the bedrooms and they are very cold.even during the summer here. They walk on the floor and then put their paws on my bare legs and they are freezing cold. If they have a bed here and there so that they can be comfortable and always near me (their choice) they have a cozy place to lay. I have been the victim of rear-end collisions.I know that safety is very important and I don't want to have a day where someone rear-ends me and Dolly & Desi end up through the windshield and no longer alive. With my spinal injuries, if we go places together and there is walking to do, I need to have that stroller because I cannot hold both of them and walk when they are tired. They have clothes.they wear them, and in fact, when I take something off of them to put in the laundry pile, they both follow me around and then bark and look where the clean clothes are.they shake if they don't have a little something to make their cold bodies warmer. I don't pay as much as you, but they do have clothes for their comfort and mine (not wanting to wash their clothes every three days.) To all of those that say to give clothes to the shelters and food to the shelters, you have very big hearts for the dogs in the shelters.kudos to you. I do give very generously to charity both at church and other agencies. However, when I read all the comments to this post, I don't think that Meg ever wrote anything about what money that she donates to shelters, or other agencies; it very well could be that she donates to the shelters and other agencies. And, to the person that said 'the poor will always be with you' misunderstands that quote as meaning that there will always be people to help - to help the poor; not to spend all your money until you are poor. Just my humble opinion. Meg, if you have the money, and it makes you happy, then there is nothing wrong with it. We donate and gift where and when we can. But your money is to do with as you please. If I could afford Juicy for my girls I would probably buy it too. I usually wait till Baxter Boo has a sale and then load up on stuff. My children are grown I still buy them stuff they don't need too. Even Jesus said, "The poor will always be with you." You can't take your money with you when you die, so enjoy it while your here, as long as your not hurting anyone, live it up! -------Original Message------- From: Donna Bear <mailto:[email protected]> Date: 22/06/2011 8:29:02 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Chihuahuas] Re: if you buy clothing for your chihuahua how much do u spend in a month????? I think I would be freaking out if I were your husband also. I was upset because I had to pay close to $20 dollars for a new harness because my little one had outgrew hers. I don't think it matters if you are rich or not rich...that is an exuberant amount of money to spend on your fur babies every month. They would love you just as much if they had a doggie t-shirt from Target and an old cereal bowl to eat out of. --- In [email protected], ann banks <abanks4132@...> wrote: > > *my 2 , Chico and Pedro do not wear clothes. > * > On Tue, Jun 21, 2011 at 9:46 PM, Meghan <meghan6388@...> wrote: > > > ** > > > > > > ok so my husband is freaking out because i spend any where from 150 to 200 > > a month on dog clothes i say she needs them she looks oh so aadorable and > > she loves it she has clothes to change everyday and also 10 night gowns and > > he thinks im over doing your opinion do u think its alot how much do you > > spend i have no children so remy is like my daughter and she gets the > > best.... i just ordred juice couture dog bowls online for 65 dollars i dont > > think its alot lol she eats in style let me know me what u think and what > > you do.... > > > > meg > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
