All of the free virus protection programs leave something to be desired. Plus, you may want to read this article.

We are using AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials. We also run Malwarebytes occasionally, and AdAware. The best thing to do is to make sure you back it up. And close windows from the task bar on the bottom of the screen. Do not use the little X in the upper right corner unless you are very sure of the page's security.

Today I was looking at something and a bunch of ad-type pages popped up and I had a difficult time clicking to close them. Maybe that was the same thing?
Too many mean people out there doing this sort of stuff…afterall, what would they get out of this except for laughs and giggles? So mean…I really wish someone can stop these things before you get them.
