>group for several years.  Then just got tired
of the male bashing and racist overtones, so I quit.  I am diabetic and
Beau bit me on my hand and caused an injection that took a long time to
heal.
>Now, I am scared of him and he knows it.  His behavior changed
when my husband died, I told my kids, who thought I was crazy, that he was
angry
because he thought I had gotten rid of his "Dede". For the longest he would
ask "where's Dede", then did the same when his Dede's dog died, asking "Where's
Ginger".just five or so months later.  I explained to him over and over
that they were gone and not coming back. He finally seemed to accept it.  I
have a perch with a plastic shield to cover my hand but now his wings are grown
out and I would have trouble putting him back in his cage.  He has a huge
cage with loads of toys and seems to be happy.  We just have learned to
interact differently.  Emiliano will be 4 in November and I got him when he
was 8 weeks old and weighed a half of a pound.  I was told he would mature
at 3 lbs but he now weighs 6 lbs. 8 oz and the vet says he's not fat. I thought
you had seen the photo of him that I posted when I welcomed you or at least I
though I had.. Here's another.
