I have a perch with a plastic shield to cover my hand but now his wings are grown out and I would have trouble putting him back in his cage. He has a huge cage with loads of toys and seems to be happy. We just have learned to interact differently. Emiliano will be 4 in November and I got him when he was 8 weeks old and weighed a half of a pound. I was told he would mature at 3 lbs but he now weighs 6 lbs. 8 oz and the vet says he's not fat.
