Sometimes we do all we can and even though its not as much as someone else can
do, its the best WE can do.

A situation I am currently in, just to help ease you a bit.

I have several cats in my home. One particular one is a bengal cat named Ares.
I LOVE him to death. He's great with my other cats, my recent CHI addition and
my toddler. He's friendly with company and he's a bed snuggler too. His problem
is that when he was about 1 yrs old, he began a behavioral problem of PEEING on
anything and EVERYTHING soft. This meant bedding, pillows, couches, blankets,
laundry, sox left on the floor, pocket books on the table, coats that may have
fallen off a chair and so forth.

I spent 7+ years dealing with this issue and trying to resolve it. It cost me
over $15,000. It cost me a part of my sanity and the love for the breed. It
cost my son a good part of his baby-hood because as a baby I had to TARP
everything that wasn't immediately in use. IE if my son was in his basinette
and I wanted to put him upstairs in his crib for a nap, I had to put my son on
the couch, then immediately tarp (yes the kind you use over patio furniture,
the furniture, then wrap it in strip to tie it tight. Then take my son up to
his crib. My son couldn't have play mats on the floor, unless he was on them.
If he moved or went away from it, I had to immediately pick it up and put it
away or tarp it. This went the same way for his High chair, his basket with
diapers and clothing, and I couldn't do a play pen for him. I just didn't have
the time or energy to open, close and or Tarp an entire playpen 5 or 6 times a
day. So the brand new playpen is still in the attic, as well as many other toys.

I had to rip up rugs, throw out an entire bed, mattress and box spring. I
changed litters, boxes, locations, I changed the rugs from rug to tile or
lament. And at 3 yrs old I still have a baby gate in my sons room so that Ares
doesn't go in his room and pee on my sons bed.

After 7 yrs I have given up. I'm 6 months preg, I am high risk pregnancy and I
have a heart condition because of it. Even without those problems. I am
unwilling to put my new baby and myself through the same torture of having to
fear about my cat peeing on my infant's items everytime I turn my back. I had
for years been asking the bengal rescue group I belonged to for help. I
eventually posted a desperate post telling them that if someone couldn't help
me (had been asking for help for 6 yrs on the list), that I had no other choice
then to put my beloved Ares to sleep.

I got all sorts of slack and yelled at. That I'm a horrible person. THat I dont
deserve to have cats. That I am a failure and one went on a rampage calling me
a Murder.

So I am dealing with this situation.

My point is that we all do what we can for as long as we can.
If you didn't try, I could see how a person may be upset with you
but you tried, you did what you
