No ticks....knocking wood...for about 8 yrs except the one or two on a foster.
I keep my yard mown, well until the recent monsoons now I mow as often as I can
and don't go to dog parks anymore. Ticks like dark and wet so I try to keep all
my yard cleaned up with no dark underbrush or over hanging limbs

Robin, do you see a lot of ticks in your area? Our vets here do not recommend
the Lyme vaccine because they say the side effects for our little ones can
outweigh the benefits from the vaccine. Our previous vet here in MI did give
the vaccine without my permission also. I was so mad!

Where are you in FL? We are on Siesta Key during the winter and I have only
seen one tick. Maybe we don't have them there because there aren't many or any
deer on the island?

Yes I know thanks. I have to keep an eye out too, because we live in an area
with a lot of Lyme Disease.

It is supposed to start killing fleas within 30 minutes. That is the only flea
med that seems to work for us in FL. Our boys have never had any side effects.
Comfortis does not kill fleas however so watch out for them!

Okay, after trying everything natural to rid my girls of fleas, I had to break
down and use comfortis. It was a difficult decision, but I gave it with food,
and then watched them like a hawk for several hours. So far, so good. But
does anyone know how long it takes for the fleas to die off?

Thanks,
Possum
