@krtulmay, yes, each tab has its own history. But as I understand it, the browser security model prevents access to the history, so there's no privacy risk here.
As for session, all tabs share the same session (the exception being incognito windows), so opening a new tab is the same as reusing an old one. I think @dhhwai's configurable option suggestion makes the most sense here.
