Will doing these steps give me Search Suggestions etc, the way the default Google entry does? Someone proposed a similar solution on the page I linked to; someone from the Chromium team replied saying: The proposed solution you give, involving creating a new entry, will result in no search suggest and no NavSuggest, leading to a subpar experience. This isn't recommended. On Firefox/IE, I can create an OpenSearchDescription file that will search a specific Google site *and* use search suggestions (see http://tr.im/tJ6r for example). I do wish Chrome wasn't quite as inflexible in setting up a new search engine.
