I am excited that they chose GTK. The recently discovered builds of Chromium for Chrome OS seem to use GTK and .deb files! http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-linux-chromeos/28875/
If this means native Linux desktop apps have a chance to run on Chrome OS as well I will be very happy!
