Dear Pat, I'm very pleased that you enjoyed this month's *Chartwell Bulletin*. Its certainly a labor of love to put it all together each month. The Executive Director for the US, Lee Pollock and I were just discussing the other day how much ink Churchill is still able to command in today's press. Its quite remarkable really.
Allen Packwood was very gracious to let us reprint his speech from Chartwell, but he commented that he will now have to delve into the archives to create a new speech since I have completely ruined his ability to ever use that one again. I thought that I might suggest to you and the rest of the Churchill Chat list a helpful hint on your research on the Jerome family. As you may know, we have a treasure trove of all of the back issues of *Finest Hour *online in pdf format. One day as time and resources permit we would love to have every article there individually, but alas this is a mammoth task to undertake. So for now, we have pretty good quality scans of most issues. In the next month you will be able to use the "Search" box on the homepage of the website, which will help you find individual articles, but in the meantime here's a litte trick to use Google. Let's say you want to find "Leonard Jerome", "Brooklyn", and "Jennie Jerome". You can type those into the Google search and then append this: site:winstonchurchill.org When you do this, it will tell Google to only search our site. You can also add, "Finest Hour" and pdf which will then only search our collection of *Finest Hour*. So the search would look like this in the Google: "Leonard Jerome" "Brooklyn" "Jennie Jerome" "Finest Hour" pdf site: winstonchurchill.org As you will see this returns all of the issues that contain your search.
