Dear Dave,

Thank You.

The last book I finished was "In Command of History". Dr. Mathers suggested
I pick it up. I was after financial information and Reynold's book assisted
me greatly with that aim.

The character reference you made was what I was after. I knew Clementine
didn't like the house for the cost it bear on their finances. I knew
Churchill liked the house much much more. Your thought is Churchill was
comfortable with this arrangement ? I may look at Reynold's book again

Maybe if I had more information about how the purchase came along this
would assuage my curiousity.(Timeline)

Winston gave his son a large financial gift. I wonder if anyone knew the
amount? Randolph called it "a Princely Sum."..

Best,
Tom
