Look at the gradient plugin: It has two colors.

At any rate, this change should be a follow-up to your polished version of 
Dip2Black.

Moreover, it might be wise to wait with this addition until the merge with 
Cinelerra 4 is completed. (I'm currently working on this again.) It has some 
changes in the infrastructure of plugin UIs. But you can base your work on 
Simoen's merge:

  git://git.cinelerra.org/c4/cinelerra.git

branch cin4merge.

The Flash plugin would be a special case of your generalized "flash to color" 
plugin.
