hello, to all. i been trying to hookup with linux graphic programmers, and video
hd editing and compositing users. i have followed and use cinelerra and
broadcast2000 since i saw it a trade show in las vegas 2004. i have dissasembled
the c code and improved it to fully function and render hd video at 1920x1080
and 2048x1556 24fps. i am now importing my canon 5d mark2 clips and editing and
rendering back at 45mb per second. as you know canon audio is pcm raw 16 bit
sowt
format. cinecuty developer akirad seemed to get it right at least with his
compiled binaries for debian 64 bit, which dissappeared off the earth
completely, as well puppy 5.2 lucid cinelerra 2.1.5.pet. lucid puppy worked
except they removed ffmpeg pipe input, and 10bit,16 bit color rgba, yuva, only 8
bit and float which doesnt work well.
i have support for 10bit,16bit and 24bit color rgba,yuva 4-2-0,4-4-4 color space
for true hd video.
i also needed to include 3d layer support as well as camera tracking which
cnelerra lacked and camera tracking and 3d layer enable is now included in my
code and new user interface. i been a user of after effects since ver 4. and i
needed to include the 3d layer and lights in cinelerra code. i now have it for
several weeks been using it and works fast.
as you may know cinelerra code was designed around an amd dual core 2.4ghz
opteron 875 with 4gb ecc server workstation ram. it does not like intel code or
pulse audio, it needs libguicast, mpegtoc, mpegenc, and libquicktime, it uses fftw
instead of ffmpeg. the community version is flawed because of many forks in the
c library. compiling from source fedora core 1, or redhat ws 3.0 works the best,
also from exper, a 2.5 real time kernel was used at the demo.
run version 1.19, 1.21 and enjoy fast hd rendering. 2.0 is where there is
features removed and other issues relating to smooth operation.

always looking to partner with exp programmers, advanced users of video editing
compositing.

my goal was to make cinelerra an advanced compositng and editing app for linux.
i heard some of the code of cinelerra and blender was used for smoke inferno,
and fire. since all source code is available to everyone, but we cant look at
the source code for these other programs to see it wasnt used because those
programs are closed source. remember companies do not reinvent the wheel they
just use whats available freely and add some other code and api to make it
closed source and put a high dollar to it.
why is cinelerra the most difficult program on linux to get working right, or
compiling with all depended libraries.

i have compiled plugins that worked with premiere 4.0, and 5.1 not elements but
premiere, then in 1998 final cut pro came from premiere ported to mac. v4.2
premier then had filter factory, which allowed you to make your own filters and
special effects. i could use some photoshop 3 and 2.5 filters to work also.
the filters work in photoshop and premiere , now some i got to work in
cinelerra. andromeda made filters which ended up being in hollywood effects, and
now adobe aquired them like cool edit pro, macromedia, hsc, and some others.

the point is that all apps which are opensource on linux, is ended up becoming
closed source. apple had their eye on cinelerra since that demo in 2004, but
they couldnt aquire it, so others have used the code from cinelerra to make
their ap ps. long live cinelerra with advanced composting and 3d camera
tracking.
