Pretty sure Cory,
PAT, is just NAT with overload essentially... I have a really cool
NAT/PAT issue that i've been working on. I'll draw it up and post it
later.
Lets just say that we want to PAT everyone to 1(legal) address,
then we wanted to static translate just one machine (illegal
addresss), to a legal address. When we made this static
translation... this would be considered NAT. also if we wanted to
translate 5 machines(illegal) to 5 (legal) address this would be
NAT. but if we wanted to translate 5 (illegal) addresses to 4 (legal)
address this would be PAT.
anyone not agree? please write me so i'm not wrong in the future :)
