Hi
I went the cheap route ;-) I got a Cisco CS-516 which is an old access
server with 16 RS-232 ports in RJ-45 format. If you want to run a 10+ IOS
version you will need to download it from CCO and boot off a TFTP server,
but the bottom line is that it is a cheap alternative to a 2509 or 2511 for
console access.
There is one on Ebay right now that ends today (not mine).
