The main difference between in-band management and out
of band management is that when u configure any
networking device be it a router or a switch by
telnetting into that device using its ip address or
using any SNMP based utility is called in-band
management whereas if u configure the router using a
console or aux port , it is called an out of band
management.
That is if u use the same band which is used for the
transfer of data , it is in band managemnt .
