there are no prerequisites for the CCIE written whatsoever. You plunk down
your 300 bucks and you take the test.

before you do so, may I suggest you go to www.certificationzone.com. If I am
not mistaken, you can take one free practice test from them. even if you
can't, you can buy a six monh subscription for 99 bucks or so and take six
practice tests. ( tell them I sent you, so I get an extra month :-> )

You might want to see how much you really know, as opposed to what you think
you know based on your euphoria at having attained the CCNA. you will save
yourself some money and gain some perspective as to what is involved in
mastery of this field, and why CCIE's are paid as well as they are, and are
in as high demand as they are.
