It is unlikely that many instructors will go beyond the level required in
ACRC, leave alone BSCN, as this is logically the follow-on course. I would
probably go through the ramifications personally, but I would hesitate to
suggest that it is commonplace among Cisco instructors to do as Howard
describes. Clearly, the perfomance issues related to running BGP are far
from trivial and need to be emphasised at every opportunity. I know that my
students, when I teach BSCN, are under no false impressions as to the
complexity of the protocol or of its implications.
