Also, one other thing I forgot. If you are trying to do debugs and not
seeing anything, then aside form checking syntax etc. make sure the debug
command you are using does not require fast switching to be turned off. Many
debug commands won't work with silicon, autonomous or fast switching and
must be process switched.
You can disable fast switching with

no ip route-cahce     ?? I think that is it. There may be others.

Subject: Terminal Monitor problem


I am dialing into a 2600 router using Hyperterminal.  I need to see the
router messages on the Hyperterm screen and have issued "Terminal
Monitor" successfully.  However, it is not working.  I have another 2600
that displays the messages just fine.  Any ideas what might be the
problem.  Both routers are running the same IOS.
