There are too many smart arses around sometimes. The whole idea of a discussion group isn't for everyone to "Provide the right answer or beware". I think everyone would like to have a go sometimes, but there's that nagging doubt that you're going to make a big slip up. It's better I think when people have a go. It's amazing how many people answer the easy password recovery type questions, but no one is listening when the toughies come out, even though a lot of people could have a stab at it (guilty myself). Some people would end up on their arse if they replied face to face, the way they do in some follow up posts.
